Dear St. Francis Family and Friends,
The health of our community and the need to distance ourselves physically from one another still prevent us from gathering on Sunday in our Sanctuary. Yet, our bond of love as Children of God and the Body of Christ allow our souls to unite, across time and distance, to join with one another in worship, prayer, and praise
To that end, here is a link to online worship options provided by our own Washington National Cathedral, including daily and Sunday services. In addition, here is a link to a video in our own Sanctuary, recorded Saturday morning, containing a reading of the Gospel for March 22, 2020 (the 4th Sunday in Lent) and my sermon on the same.
As all of us experience the challenges and threats of the COVID-19 virus and make necessary changes in our daily lives, we all must adjust and adapt. Please let us all hold one another in prayer, be particularly aware of the different ways in which life is being impacted for each of us, help one another as we are able, and remain loving and faithful.
Also, I ask you to share the news of this email with your friends and family as you see fit. Our MailChimp metrics tell me that we get, at most, a 60% read rate on any email originating from the parish. I hope for as many as possible to become aware of the above opportunities for worship and spiritual nourishment.
May all be for the Glory of God.
God is good … all the time!
