The Prayer of St. Francis

The Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let us sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;

Grant that we may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen

Small Church, Huge Impact!

  God loves you; we do too!

These are the two great reasons to belong to the St. Francis parish. We are a relatively small church where people are welcoming and know each other and where we have a connection with our clergy and our faith in a very personal way.  As we have grown over the years, we have been able to serve many through our Outreach program which is self-sustained through the St. Francis of Assisi Thrift Shop.  This engine for good allows us to get many needed things to many different people in many different ways. Join us, and become a light for this wonderful world.

Serving our Community and the World

The hallmark of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church is our service to others.  We faithfully try to “walk the walk” of Our Lord in our 21st Century Chapin community.  We have been blessed to sponsor and manage the Thrift Shop of St. Francis which allows us to help people and their needs here and far away.
